Evan passed away on Saturday March 31, 2012 while in the hospital in New York. Evans courage touched many and will always be remembered.

A special thanks to Blue Knights New York XVI for their assistance and willingness to help make his last few days memorable in the true fashion of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club.

Helping Evan

In October 2011 the Chapter became aware of the need to assist Evan and his family. Evan lives in Louisa County and BK VAIII along with the Red Knights VAXVII Louisa Chapter put on a benefit ride for the family.

The Louisa Courthouse Cafe and Pub hosted the event and over $1,000 was raised to support the cause.

March 2012 Evans condition became worse and he had to travel to New York for extensive medical treatment. The VAIII chapter rode to Louisa and presented him with a hand made quilt to take with him to the hospital.

We pray for Evans recovery and continue to support his cause along with many of his friends and supporters.

Pictured on the left is Lonnie Loyal, Blue Knights VAIII Chapter President. The quilt was hand made by Mrs Loyal (far right in red sweater) who spent many hours creating the quilt.

Each white stripe on the quilt contains a signature of each member of BK VAIII
